PPI-SEPSIS was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial conducted in Italy, Russia, and Kazakhstan where they received “mega-dose” esomeprazole as an adjunctive treatment for sepsis, a total of 1024mg over the first 72 hours after randomization.
